BIO
Dr Tianyi Ding is a Research Fellow in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy at RMIT University. His research focuses on artificial intelligence and computational methods for medical imaging, with particular interests in image reconstruction, quantitative imaging, and dynamic imaging.
He completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Queensland, where his research focused on Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF), quantitative MRI, and deep learning-based image reconstruction. His work involved developing deep learning methods for accelerating image reconstruction and improving quantitative parameter estimation from highly undersampled MRI data.
His current research extends these methods to broader medical imaging problems, including CT and dynamic imaging, with an interest in deep learning, implicit neural representations, and data-efficient computational imaging. He is particularly interested in developing methods that combine imaging physics with machine learning to improve image reconstruction and quantitative analysis when measurements or ground-truth data are limited.
