BIO
Dr. Sachin Yadav is a Research Fellow at RMIT University, where his work focuses on the development of advanced and hybrid materials for wastewater treatment, fatberg management, and the recovery of critical minerals from secondary resources. His research is driven by the goal of designing sustainable, smart materials that support circular-economy principles and contribute to cleaner, more resilient water systems. Dr. Yadav obtained a Joint Ph.D. from RMIT University and CSIR–National Physical Laboratory. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Chemistry from the University of Delhi, India. He has developed strong expertise in a wide range of analytical and characterization techniques, including FTIR, UV–Vis, AAS, ICP-MS, HPLC, TGA, BET, SEM, EDS, and TEM, enabling him to design and evaluate functional materials with high precision. His research excellence has been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Alan Finkel – R. A. Mashelkar Award in Engineering Innovation, the Best Thesis Award at the WETT Symposium 2024 at RMIT University, the Best Paper Award at Admet-2020 (Springer & MSI), and the 2nd Prize Poster Award at IISF-2020, Government of India.
