Michael Webster has over 40 years’ experience in publishing and academia and helped develop RMIT’s postgraduate publishing studies program. Michael is a recipient of the George Robertson Award for services to the book industry.
Michael Webster has over 40 years’ experience in publishing and academia, including board membership of the Australian Publishers Association, the Australian Booksellers Association, Copyright Agency and the Literature Board of the Australia Council.
Michael helped develop RMIT’s postgraduate publishing studies program and managed it from 2001-2013.
An Adjunct Professor at RMIT University, Michael introduced Nielsen BookScan to the Australian industry in 2000, is a recipient of the George Robertson Award for services to the book industry, recently retired as Chair of the Melbourne Writers Festival and currently chairs the Small Press Network (SPN), (https://smallpressnetwork.com.au/about/) the membership organisation for small and independent publishers.
