BIO

Dr. Hao Zhang is a Research Assistant at RMIT University specialising in machine learning and biomedical signal processing. Her current research focuses on developing deep learning methods for denoising magnetoencephalography (MEG) signals acquired in ambient environments, supporting the development of next-generation wearable and portable neuroimaging technologies. She also contributes to research in magnetic navigation, sensor fusion, and data-driven sensing systems.

She received her PhD in 2025, where she developed a machine learning-based autofocus system for laser nanofabrication using computer vision techniques. Her research has since expanded to include biomedical signal analysis, quantum sensing, and intelligent sensing technologies, combining expertise in artificial intelligence, signal processing, and statistical data analysis.

Her research interests include machine learning, biomedical signal processing, magnetoencephalography, quantum sensing, magnetic navigation, computer vision, and trustworthy AI for real-world sensing applications.
