Centre for Innovative Justice

Summary

The Centre for Innovative Justice (CIJ) researches, advocates and applies innovative ways to improve the justice system with a particular focus on therapeutic jurisprudence, restorative justice and non-adversarial dispute resolution.

 

Our objective is to develop, drive and expand the capacity of the justice system to meet and adapt to the needs of its diverse users.

 

We conduct rigorous research which focuses on having impact – taking our research findings, most of which involve direct engagement with service users, and using them to develop innovative and workable solutions.

Our large team of professional staff brings extensive experience across legal practice, social work, research, policy development and law reform.
