BIO

Frank is a researcher working on X-ray based medical imaging techniques. He focuses on the application of machine learning techniques for object reconstruction and implementation in clinical settings. Before joining RMIT, Frank worked as an accelerator physicist at the Australian Synchrotron where he worked on the lattice design for the next generation synchrotron and various projects to improve the operation of the facility. Frank completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne, where he worked on the design for a compact hadron therapy synchrotron and investigated various machine learning approaches for systematically optimising synchrotron lattices. Frank also has a background in experimental particle physics and worked on the data analysis for the ATLAS experiment.
